Petroleum coke
Petroleum coke (petcoke) — a solid carbon-containing product obtained during the heat treatment of oil residues at high temperatures.
Scope of application
Petroleum coke has a wide range of applications, from metallurgy to the chemical industry. Small porous pebbles can have different sizes depending on the class of a particular coke. The bubbles are filled with a gas or liquid hydrocarbon fraction.

Coke is classified into eight grades depending on chemical composition and physical properties. All types of petroleum coke are very similar in their characteristics.
Several varieties of coke can be obtained depending on the composition and quality of the base raw materials, and processing technique:

Petroleum Coke

High—carbon product with a low ash content not exceeding 0.8% Petroleum coke is produced using advanced pyrolysis and cracking technologies of liquid wastes.

Electrode pitch coke

Similar in properties to petcoke, electrode pitch coke has an even lower ash content, up to 0.3%. The ash content of this variety does not exceed 0.3%. The product is obtained from coal tar at high temperatures.

Coal coke

A versatile and high-quality product plays an important role in various industries. Coal coke is a multifunctional product: depending on the quality and method of production, can be classified as blast furnace, foundry, household, and many other types.

Marine tanker
Transportation of petroleum coke is carried out in open-top cars (loading rate is 60 tons, net) and by sea tanker deliveries from the ports of Russia: Ust-Luga, Vladivostok, and Novorossiysk.

Different types of coke have their own characteristics. This must be taken into account during transportation. A coke type is affixed to the accompanying documents for roper shipping. Coke fines can freeze at low temperatures. As a rule, coke transportation is carried out in one direction along a closed line.
